Quick Details

Location: Guadeloupe

Duration: All Day

Departure Time: 8 a.m.

See Whales in Guadeloupe

Board the “Planète bleue” catamaran with your eco whale guide for a unique encounter with the cetaceans. More than 17 species can be seen in Guadeloupe, while the sperm whales and the spotted dolphins can be seen all year. From December to May, the main attractions are the humpback whales which can be seen with their offspring in our waters.

Meet your guide and group at the Deshaies marina at 7:45 a.m., to depart no later than 8 a.m. for your Guadeloupe whale watching tour. We start with a brief introduction of the 17 species of whales you may encounter, before we start looking for them. Your passionate, bilingual guide welcomes you and makes you feel comfortable for the entire duration of the tour. We ask you to be patient, as we never know how long it will take to spot a wild animal in its natural habitat.

After your captain has found the whales with the help of everyone on board using a hydrophone and binoculars, you get explanations from the guide, while getting the opportunity to take pictures. Different educational tools are provided, such as a hydrophone for the acoustic tracking of the cetaceans, headphones to hear the sounds emitted by the cetaceans, and leaflets with illustrations of the cetaceans, and educational boards on the different species of our region. You’re able to listen to the whale sounds with a sound system on our whale watch experience. For your comfort, drinks are offered, and children get snacks (water, juice, and alcoholic beverages are served on board).
